BIOGRAPHY

Rachel Eckstein received her MFA in Painting on a full scholarship from the School of The Art Institute of Chicago in 2008 and her BFA from Herron School of Art in Indianapolis in 2004. She attended the Yale Summer School for Painting in Norfolk in 2000. She has been the recipient of various awards including a Dedalus Foundation MFA Fellowship, SAIC MFA Graduate Grant and a Union League Civic & Arts Foundation Award in 2008. Her work has been exhibited around the US and internationally, including Brooklyn Artists Gym (Brooklyn); Sullivan Galleries, Gallery 2 (Chicago), Semantics Gallery (Cincinnati), 930 Gallery (Louisville) and Gallery Univerzum (Nitra, Slovakia). Ms. Eckstein currently lives and works in New York City.
